Assignment:
Concept review and preparation of a Business Plan for a new Sport and Health Centre.
Background:
The University of Strathclyde commissioned the practice to carry out a review of an initial concept for a new sport and leisure facility and to prepare a business plan for the revised facility mix. The proposed development potentially will provide facilities for a number of partners including: the University of Strathclyde community (student participation, academic courses, Sports Union clubs); Glasgow City Council; the Glasgow Health Board; other further education institutions; and sportscotland as well as providing for the local community . Key to the initial part of the commission was establishing demand for facilities for each user group before finalising the optimum facility mix on which the Business Plan was based.
